世の中の「もの」には、それぞれストーリーがあります。
どこで、誰によって、どのように作られたのか
案外、私たちは知らなかったり。
でも、そこに少し目を向けるだけで、
より一層ものが愛おしく思えたりするものです。
「catarina (カタリナ)」という名は、
日本語の「語る」とフィンランド語の「tarina=物語」を
掛け合わせて生まれました。
“「もの」の背景にある物語を伝え、大切に繋いでいけるように”
という想いを込めています。
catarinaでは、様々な物語ある品々を国内外より集め、ご紹介しています。
温かみを宿した「もの」たちが
皆さまの暮らしを優しく、楽しく、照らしてくれますように。

About catarina
Every “thing” in the world has its own story.
We may not know where, by whom, and how they were made.
But if we just pay attention to it a little, we can appreciate things even more.
The name “catarina” is a combination of the Japanese word “kataru” (to tell)
and the Finnish word “tarina” (story).
At catarina, we introduce a collection of handcrafted items from Japan and abroad.
We hope to convey the stories behind the “things” and to connect them with great care.
We would like to play a part, in making sure that good work continues into the future.
We hope that the warmth of “things” introduced by us
may they gently, joyfully, and brightly illuminate your daily life.
